Nice summer holiday book
I really didn't think I was going to listen to all of this as didn't really have any interest in any of the characters in the book initially, but the narrator's voice was lovely and I was in a holiday mode so carried on and I'm glad I did. It got a lot better in the second half and while it's not going on my 'wow' list I did enjoy it as a light summer book...
enjoyable listen across the generations

Summer in Devon
Since I know the area where the cottage is supposed to be, some of the location details jarred with me - the post office and shop they went to in Ivybridge would be miles and miles away, since Ivybridge is nowhere near the coast. Also, since Olivia is portrayed as an elderly grandma, it was a shock to discover that she was only 59! I'm 47 and my partner is 51 and we both run half-marathons. We're not ready to be old yet, and at 59, neither should Olivia be.
