Summary

Twenty-something Kat Reid is loving life as an in-demand Hollywood makeup artist. She has absolutely no interest in rock 'n' roll, but in order to pay the mortgage, she agrees to work on the set of a rock video for the world-famous rockers known as Bad Habit...which brings her face-to-face with Nico Nyx, lead singer of Bad Habit and Adonis in the flesh.

However, the fiercely independent Kat isn't impressed by the hard-living, womanizing rock star. But when Nico's model girlfriend shows up to the set drunk and Kat is tapped to replace her as the video's sexy bride, her combustible chemistry with Nico suddenly threatens to consume the set. Nico feels it, too—and becomes determined to win Kat over, body and soul. Yet behind his rock god swagger, Nico hides a dark secret. Can he rock Kat's world forever, or will he just break her heart?

Brilliant!

Any additional comments?

JT outdid herself with this book! It was so good, truly amazing! I loved the story and the characters. The book takes the reader on a bit of a rollercoaster considering Nico's past trauma's and Kats on top of the ordeal they face in the book.

I teared up more then once reading this but I also smiled a lot at the banter between Nico and Kat and between their respective friends!

The chemistry and connection they had was extremely strong, if ever there was case for love at first sight, it's these two, while Kat wasn't going to enter straight into a relationship with Nico giving the situation when they first met, there was no denying the instant connection and spark between them when they first set eyes on each other.

Their relationship only grew stronger the more time they spent together cause whatever Nico's faults (he has a temper) he is always honest with Kat and keeps his promises to her, which is important to Kat considering her past.

They were good for each other and I was routing for them all the way! They had some really tough moments in the book which I won't go into as I believe it will be far more powerful to experience them for yourselves, but I will say they came out at the end, maybe not unscarred, but certainly stronger.

I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series. Honestly, this book was amazing and gripped me from start to finish. JT has the start of a truly great new series in this book! I'd highly recommend it!

Good easy read

Amazing story and great shen you need a book to chill.
The narrator could have given a bit more urgency in the narration, particularly in parts that where meant to be shouting.
But overall, really good easy listen

Excellent

I read this book a few years ago, loved it then and still love it now.

The narration is excellent. The beauty that is Kat is brilliantly brought to life and I adored the slow drawl from Nico.

Sweet as Sin

I loved this book it was very good story line was great the Narrator was good but this book would have been better with dual narration, when Kat was apparently shouting at Nico I could hear the Narrator strain to get the best affect but didn't quite get it right even with this the book was great highly recommend this book.

Not a fan of the narrator

I’m confused with this one - I think I enjoyed the story, although I do feel like there wasn’t enough depth to the characters, especially Kat who seemed quite cold and unknown to the listener, I did find the storyline a good and interesting twist. The narration however was terrible and I’ll definitely be put off by any other books I see narrated by the same person.
