Susan has never known anyone like Cord Blackstone. His pale blue eyes shine with temptation and dark menace.
Cord has a score to settle with his family - the same genteel clan that sheltered Susan after her husband's death. He will stop at nothing to punish the Blackstones - even if it means ruining the one woman who can't stop loving him.

Not keen

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, it has not aged well

What will your next listen be?

One of Linda Howard's better early stories

Would you listen to another book narrated by Emily Durante?

I wouldn't not listen to her, but she's not one of the best narrators I've ever heard.

Any additional comments?

The narrator was fine I just couldn't finish the story. I didn't like the characters they were one dimensional. Linda Howard has way more better books than tears of a renegade that are definitely more worthy of an audiobook feature. I Would love you to acquire some of her other early works, Cry no more, Dream man, After the night, All the queens men, Kiss me while I sleep.
