Summary

great storyline
thoroughly enjoyed this book , very well narrated. storyline had some tragic incidents within it which was sad but added to the overall direction the story was heading. there was something unrealistic about the ending in my opinion

A most excellent and meaningful book.
I enjoyed reading this book and didn’t want to put it down, anyone who has actually known true love will appreciate the experience of reading it.

As ever a wonderful story
Erica James has written yet another wonderful story and done so in a way that it can at times be easy to relate to the characters and their somewhat complex emotions. The links between the present and the past were well written and made the story all the more enjoyable.
The narration has been done well and made it easy and enjoyable to listen to.

Captivating
I loved everything about this book, the characters and their stories.
It kept me awake at night as I didn't want to turn it off, just one more chapter etc etc.
My first Erica James read, but won't be the last.

a lovely story
A son inherits his fathers house and books, he calls in professional book buyer to appraise the books.
the man takes his daughter with him and at first she finds the man to be rude but then sees him in another light,
they quickly become firm friends and a romance forms between them.

struggled at the start but well worth carring on.
i struggled at the start to get into this book i thought it was droll. But it was fantastic when it got going and bought me to tears. A truely lovey story. the msle author was superb but the lady a little boreing. well with the effort if continueing.

Intriguing
A brilliant story, entwining the past with the present. There are two stories both equally interesting and believable. This is one of those books that when it ends you want to know what happens next to all the characters.

What did you like most about The Dandelion Years?
What I expect from a book is a story with authenticity and engagement with its characters. This book had both and switched between 2 time periods without any confusion.
What did you like best about this story?
The mix between mystery, romance and period
Which character – as performed by Emma Gregory and Lee Maxwell Simpson – was your favourite?
Both main characters; Fliss was a bit tiresome. Narration was excellent and supported the story rather than get in the way of it

Enjoyable story, poor quality narrative
What made the experience of listening to The Dandelion Years the most enjoyable?
The story line at the beginning of the book, but after a while I gave up and obtained a copy from our local libraryFelt really let down as I like to listen to a story whilst sewing, travelling etc.

I did not enjoy Emma Gregory's narration. She sounded out of breath as if she had trouble speaking. I found this difficult to listen to and distracted from my enjoyment of the book
