It all started when my brother, Paul, convinced me to go on one last family road trip across the Mother Road with him and my dad. Just like old times, right? Wrong. What Paul fails to mention is his best man, Porter, will be joining us, who just so happens to be my childhood crush and the man who broke my heart four years ago. What is supposed to be a fun family bonding experience across Route 66 turns into a war of pranks, awkward moments and bathrooms full of dirty flannel shirts and day-old beard clippings. Paul's know-it-all attitude and Porter's devilish charm brings me to the brink of my sanity on my seven-day trek across the United States with three bearded men in a small 1980s RV.

A little juvenile for my tastes.
Although this book had moments of hilarity, I think I would recommend this for the later teenage reader. A lot of brother and sister ribbing with very juvenile undertones and the gross factor contributing to most of the jokes.
The narrators did well with the characters and the premise of the story was great, but I got very bored in the middle with the repetitive gas and penis jokes. Just not my cup of tea I guess.

Laugh out Loud FUNNY!!
Would you listen to The Mother Road again? Why?
Yes...It was funny and entertaining.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Porter, Marley's brother. The way he would fight with his sister or just give her a hard time was enjoyable.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Marley almost drank the pee bottles that Porter and his father filled on the way to get Marley.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was laughing so hard while listening to it at work they think I am going nuts.
Any additional comments?
Definitely a MUST listen! I will read/listen to this one again.
