But just as love begins to blossom, a cruel blow is dealt. John is forced to return to England and Olga and her family are caught up in the bitter and bloody war of 1914. Can their love survive the odds? Or will tragedy, pain and longing destroy them both?

Started well, and then went on, and on, and on.

Very disappointing, having been a fan of Mary Jane Staples for many years, I was surprised at her writing a novel which was such absolute rubbish. It could have been shortened to half it's length and still have been too long.
