Any additional comments?
This was a poigniant read, full of power and emotion, and the struggle between different classes and cultures. Elizabeth Chadwick has a way of vividly bringing to life whatever period of history she's tackling, and her fictional portrayals of real life characters are well researched and sympathetic.
