Alexa Cross leaves Los Angeles with a scarred heart, beat-up car, and a secret. She's ready to move on and leave her past behind, but fate has had a way of knocking her right back down. Marooned in the middle of nowhere, she imagines misfortune has dealt its final blow, but this time, destiny seems to have a different plan when she ends up in a place aptly called The Last Resort.
Reassembling shattered lives is what innately sexy, bar owner Zane Abbamonte does best, and it rarely ends well for him. When he sees a woman stranded on the side of the road, desperate and alone, the otherwise irascible biker rescues her without hesitation, but Zane harbors secrets of his own. When Alexa begins to uncover the truth about Zane, the weight of her past comes crashing back. Her instincts say, "Run!" but her heart tells her to stay.
Glimpsing the chance for a future together, Zane and Alexa must confront their "ghosts" and navigate through their fears. Will The Last Resort be the end of their encounter or the beginning of everything they desire?

Oh the feels.
I was super surprised by this very sweet and gentle book. A damaged Alexa is on a road trip far away from her life, a mysterious Zayne brings her into his life and heart.
I really enjoyed this audio. The quality of the narration is slightly echo'd but the narrator was great and her voice very easily convinced me she was Alexa.
My heart is warmed and my soul is fed. Thank you Kelly for the great listen.
Although I was given a copy of this audio by Audiobook Boom, it in no way affected my review.

Much Better MC Story
I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review. This was a long book and the narrator made it longer. The love story was great. I also like the fact that the guy rescued the child after his mother left him in the hospital. There were a lot of twist to this story but the ending was outstanding. To raise awareness of violence against kids and women the MC Club and friends from all over the country gathered and showed solidarity for the cause. Although it is a long listen due to the fact that it was narration without any real inflection it is a great story. Glad she found her true north.
