Don't go in the water!

I admit I got this as I really like the narrator Tom Stechschulte, had it not been for him, I would probably have given it a miss.

A small town is full of dark secrets led by the founder Mr Sutherland. When a journalist turns up everyone is afraid he'll unearth their secrets.

Ages well

I first read and enjoyed this book thirty years ago. I recently ordered it thru Audible to give it a listen. I was not sure I would enjoy it, but I did. A tiny bit aged and it was read from a late 20th century male perspective my one comment is that the main character assessed each of the women in the book on first meeting them as whether he would like to take them to bed with descriptions of their bodies and good points in this regard. this is somewhat out of date and made me uncomfortable, otherwise good book well read.

A Fve Star Gem!

I have listened to this book at least four times. Had it on Cassettes back in the day. The narrator is brilliant. The story gently carries you with twists and turns along the way. some very likable characters. Even the bad ones. Not even a genre I normally listen to. If you want a cracking listen look no further!

Very good listen

I loved it. Good story to get lost in and a very good narrator whose different voices and southern accent just seem to fit the story perfectly. Too much detail of the sexual scenes, way too much as it didn't really add to the story. Could be off putting for some. Aside from that, the ghost story was an adult one and we are so in short supply of those these days. Would highly recommend if this genure interests you.
