Summary

Poppy Day is an ordinary woman. She's a 32-year-old stay-at-home mum with two gorgeous children, while her husband Mart tours with the army. Her simplest pleasure is having her family together in a happy home. But Poppy is too busy to notice the fatigue in her body and the menacing lump growing on her breast. If there's anyone strong enough to defeat cancer it's Poppy. But does life really work like that?

Well written

I don't think I've cried so much listening to a book before. My children are very young which made it awful to imagine being in that situation and really got me about the youngest son not remembering her. But I have just seen on audible that there is a Poppy Day book too and wonder if I should have listened to this one first, but it doesn't say book 1 or book 2.

Heartbreaking

Well narrated and a great story.
a very lovely old fashioned love story with a heartbreaking discovery. The only tiny issue was Peg the daughter.. very irritating at times! However.. very moving ..sobbed and sobbed. Well worth a read!!

Beautiful story of enduring love and life

A heart wrenching story of life long love and the loss of a young wife. Brilliant writing and laugh out loud moments with her young daughter. The narrator did a great job, following on from the first book with Poppy Day which was narrated by the author herself.

Wiil you Remember me.

Loved it, great story, well narrated. Poppy and her family became very real and although the outcome was inevitable I couldn't have not listened till the end.

This audiobook is in my top five for this year

Sad yet uplifting. I don't usually cry over books, but this one choked me up. Especially loved the epilogue.

One of the saddest books I’ve ever read

As usual Amanda Prowse doesn’t disappoint but be prepared for a lot of Kleenex!

A story of love and a wonderful family with all the trials and tribulations that brings but such immense sadness when the mother Poppy Day is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Couldn’t stop crying but a wonderful story nonetheless.
