I love TerraMates short stories because they are complete, have a great plot, and good mix of romance, suspense, and action.
Poor Annalee, she did not know what she was getting into when she decided to become a TerraMate and marry an Alien. TerraMates sent her to a planet with no technology! She's certainly a better person than me, as this would have been a deal breaker for me! However, like any sensible earth female, she's not parting with her cell phone, and sneaks it with her when she goes to the planet. Sadly, taking this "contraband" will cause her more problems than it is worth, because on this planet they will execute anyone who is caught with any type of technology.
When Annalee arrives on the planet to meet her future husband, Jesse, for the first time, she's thinking how sexy he is, but he's not thinking the same thing. However, he knows he must marry her, or risk losing the family's farm. In order for Jesse to inherit the farm, he must be married, but no one from his home planet will marry him since he's been deemed a renegade for something that happened in his past.
The day after Annalee and Jesse are wed, the Bureau of Purity come to their farm to conduct a search, and Annalee's technology "contraband" is discovered. Dread fills her as everyone meekly stands by while the Bureau is preparing to take her to be executed in two days. Before the Bureau leaves with Annalee, Jesse requests to say goodbye to his wife who he's only been married to for a day and whispers in her ear "Be ready. Don't sleep." A little bit of hope begins to grow inside Annalee as she wonders if Jesse will rescue her, and if he will make it in time.
I loved the dual narration, both Cassandra and Noel did a great job.
This was another great addition to the Terra Mates series. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

What did you love best about Wrong Alien?
When Annalee and Jesse both realized they loved each other and Annalee knew she would not go back to Earth.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked how the heroine tried to live without modern conveniences because this world decided to no longer use anything scientific or technical due to something that happened in the past.
What does Cassandra Myles and Noel Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I would not get the same emotions as with me reading versus how they bring the characters to life. Audio books are like watching TV with no picture.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Modern girl goes back in time.
Any additional comments?
The story begin with both Jesse and Annalee having a purpose for a marriage. Both unsure how it would end at the end of the year. One needed money and the other a wife so he could inherit his fathers farm. Even though they had a rocky start it all worked out for the both of them. Annalee came from Earth to a world that has chosen to no longer embrace modern technology. No electricity, modern bathroom etc. The punishment for being caught with this type of contraband is death. Annalee manages to bring her smartphone by hiding it on her person in a odd place. She does not think much about it but this will prove to get her into a lot of trouble. What she does not know is her new husband is part of a band of rebels that are know as renegades. They want to bring back technology. He even has been branded with a R due to a discretion when he was a kid. this is why he cannot get a wife without going off planet. All in all things do work out. This book made laugh and kept me on the edge of my seat. I recommend this book. I receive book free for an honest review.
