This work is the second volume in a series of house histories and cultural profiles of those seen in A Song of Ice and Fire and popularized in HBO's global hit television series Game of Thrones. Volume two explores some of the major players in Game of Thrones. This particular volume covers the history of several noble houses; including the Baratheon, Martell, Greyjoy, Tyrell, Seaworth, and Arryn families. Moreover, it delves into the enigmatic assassin cult of the Faceless Men, as well as covering a fan favorite by discussing the culture of the Dothraki horse lords. It is written in a concise and well-researched manner, with short and easy to understand essays which spell out the high points and areas of importance for each house or culture. It gives the listener a quick reference guide to all the houses they have come to love and hate. Whether one enjoys the original novels, watches the television series, or indeed indulges in both, this volume of house histories, along with the others, are great additions to a Game of Thrones junkie's library.
