Well-known cookery writer (and neurotic perfectionist) Damien Trench lives with his (rather more laid back) partner, Anthony, in Queen's Park, London. Damien longs for simple perfection in all things, but life has a habit of not quite working out the way he wants it to....
In these six episodes, Damien is offered the chance to present his own TV series about street food and persuaded to appear on a panel show and is forced to go to a music festival. He and Anthony rent a narrow boat for the weekend, look after a baby, and plan their wedding.

Beautiful ensemble comedy
I am a big Damien fan and I own all the other series on audio book also, so I this was not a blind purchase.
Not since Sue Townshend have a group of characters from an uptight and oblivious male's diary gripped me so.
Hilarious plots, jokes very densely packed and some of the best written support characters that I have ever had to joy of discovering.
Start with series one and work your way to the top. This gentle and yet acerbic comedy, for yes I do believe it is comedy, will not let you down.
