Excellent Vintage

Where does Ladies of Letters Log On rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Love the series on Radio 4, hadn't heard this one - it didn't disappoint. A perfect two hours of genteel (and sometimes not so genteel) verbal fencing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

How can one choose between either character, they are both slightly mad!

What about Prunella Scales and Patricia Routledge ’s performance did you like?

You can hear all of the subtle barbs and passive aggressive undercurrent in their voices. Well (voice) acted.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, as I was unable, but I listened to it throughout my walk to work.

Two Legends in One Audiobook

What about Prunella Scales and Patricia Routledge ’s performance did you like?

I grew up watching these ladies on television. They both have the ability to give a performance that is as equally as good as anything they do on screen.

Any additional comments?

I love the entire series of Ladies of Letters. At times the humour is subtle and 100% British and other times its laugh out loud. I am sad the series has concluded but forever grateful I have the series for my collection.
