Single Dad... SOLD!!!
I have a huge soft spot for great single dads in my books and Beck stole my heart the first scene with his daughter. He was kind of a jerk to her teacher but he was worried about his daughter and it melted my heart. Sheridan was English's teacher and she loved her from the beginning because English was a GREAT characters! I love how honest she was and I have to say I'd love to have a kid like her. Maybe the way Beck & Sheridan ended up together was a little far fetched but it's fiction so I was on board but once they click, man they clicked beautifully! The steamy scenes were hot with lots of dirty talk and they were plenty too! I loved the story line and loved how it ended even more. This is my second book by this author and I will keep watching for more on audio!
The narration was PERFECT!!! I have a serious love for Erin Mallon so I would have bought this book even if I hadn't tried the author before. She narrates about 75% of this book and her male voice is so good that I wouldn't have been upset if she had done the entire book. BUT I did think Jason Clark was fantastic too so the narration gets 6 stars from me too!

DELICIOUS.. SWEET, SEXY AND PACKED FULL OF FEELS
There's one thing going for Beckley Bridges.. and that's his devotion to his adorable sweet precocious six yr old daughter English - well that and his sex appeal, buff body and devastating good looks.. and new 1st Grade Teacher Sheridan is about to find this out. Sheridan's excited and has prepared well for her young students.. however nothing could have prepared her for English's rude, stubborn, annoying and unsociable dad. Whenever Sheridan has to interact with the sweet girl's frustrating protective dad she gets one word answers, rudeness or no answer at all - and these two characters clash for a while. But, when English starts to include her new Teacher in with her rainbow home life, everything changes.
Beck's baby daughter was left on his doorstep when he was just nineteen - along with an explanation and goodbye note from the mother - but, rather than turn his back on his responsibilities, he manned up and brought his daughter up himself (with the help of his loving parents). He doesn't date, doesn't do relationships and he's made lots of sacrifices but he wouldn't have it any other way.. his daughter comes first. So, when his stable home life is threatened by the suspicious actions of English's returning birth mother, Beck enlists the help of the feisty strong-willed Teacher who he can see loves his daughter very much. But, will their tentative truce allow them to become friends, will it make Sheridan agree to a Las Vegas wedding, could they share the same bed, fight for English in Court, protect English against whatever her birth mother is secretatively planning.. and possibly fall in love with each other too?
What a great way to pass a very lazy Sunday listening to this entertaining and beautiful book.. yes, the heroine falls in love with the daughter before she falls in love with the hero dad, but their attraction and sizzling chemistry was there from the start.. even if Beck was being a grade A asshole at the time. The storyline was nicely paced and it slowly evolved into a romantic and VERY hot listen because this sexy single dad liked to talk.. and play dirty. There was some drama and angst when the heartless junkie birth mother came slinking back on the scene, when a Judge misjudged and when one of them inevitably cocked up big time. The story was broken down into three books.. the first two were from Sheridan's POV and the third book was from Beck's POV and it was nice to finally hear his thoughts.. and thank you for not making this book into an expensive trilogy. Erin Mallon's narration was awesome, she does a great male voice and she's one of my favorites.. and Jason Clark was good too.
Worth a credit? Yes.. it was a slow-building light fictional sexy romance with some angst and drama.. and that, IMO, is definitely creditworthy.
