Cool listen

I have had some difficulty trying to grasp the French language and as a beginner I really enjoyed how the audio felt as if someone was conversing with me. I really enjoyed having a voice talking back that articulated the words that if I was reading I would of mispronounced.  The repetition was highly helpful as I had time to repeat the words and given a chance to hear it clearly. I was able to learn new words and pick up on the mistakes I had with others in terms of pronunciation.

Great for learning French

Would you consider the audio edition of French Phrasebook to be better than the print version?

Yes, through having the French Phrasebook in an audible version, it helps the reader grasp the pronunciation correctly and accurately with little room for distraction. You can gain a better understanding of nouns and verbs where if you didn’t get something, you can go over it again with a high level to grasp the concept.

What was one of the most memorable moments of French Phrasebook?

The great consistency of the reading voice. I felt through the duration of the book, the voice delivered a great performance and kept me alert and keen without becoming bored. I have never had a French Phrasebook like this before until now, and I can definitely say I will be using this Phrasebook in the future.

What does Mariem Nouni and Frederic Bibard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The high level you feel through having the detail brought to you at the reader’s comfort. Learning using this type of style keeps the brain active so it is definitely easier to learn a new language using this type of audible reading.

Any additional comments?

Great phrasebook which individuals can definitely use to learn and grow their love of the French language through this by step by step.

Comprehensive vocabulary, a great experience

I really enjoyed this audiobook! Beautiful voices, first off. It pretty much covers all the vocabulary you will need "to travel in France with confidence." You need to know the basics of French first, though, since it doesn't go through any grammar review. This is for a beginning-to-intermediate student wanting to acquire vocabulary and usage.

The reason why I gave it only 4 stars in performance is because sometimes the English translations are grammatically funky or mispronounced. But hey, it'll help you get used to understanding a French accent!

One of my favorite features of this book is its layout. First you can listen to the Fr/En recordings by Mariem Nouni to learn the material. Then you can use Frederic Bibard's recordings (the same words in French only!) as flashcards to see if you can understand the French without using English as a crutch. He even shows all the different ways you can pronounce one word. Great job, guys!

Great book to learn French

“French Phrasebook: +1400 Phrases to Travel in France with Confidence” is a great audiobook to learn French. I have never taken French, but I have always been interested. This short book definitively helped me learn words and phrases in French. I really appreciated the repetition of words and phrases since it helps with the learning process. I also enjoyed that the book contains everything you could need to establish conversations, get directions, indicate places to visit or sightseen, among many other useful words. This audible version allows you to not only learn a word but also its pronunciation and how/when to use it. I highly recommend this book.
