Summary

Take a vacation, they said. Get away from Silicon Valley's backstabbing and power-grabbing. Recharge the innovative batteries. Unwind, then come back stronger than ever. Instead, I got lost at sea and fell in love with an antisocial lobsterman. There's one small issue: Owen Bartlett doesn't know who I am. Who I really am.

Owen: I don't like people. I avoid small talk and socializing, and I kick my companions out of bed before the sun rises. No strings, no promises, no problems. Until Cole McClish's boat drifts into Talbott's Cove and I bend all my rules for the sexy sailor. I don't know Cole's story or what he's running from, but one thing is certain: I'm not letting him run away from me.

A beautiful love story

I loved this audiobook from start to finish. There wasn't one missed step in the story.
Owen and Cole ae two lonely men finding each other and it's just beautiful.
The narrators are perfectly cast. I will certainly be looking for more audiobooks narrated by either of them.
Once again, Kate Canterbary has produced a stonking great love story.

Lost at sea

This book is lost at sea. The premise was interesting, the MCs sounded interesting, but after not very long Captain Pugwash has instalove for Seaman Staines at the shore front house. There is little sweet detail of long days at sea, the beautiful sunrises, the squeal of captured lobsters spitted on the grill, working along side each other, nurturing the spark of lust to enflame them both. So many spaces to fill in this dull empty, unsatisfying tale with one dimensional MCs. No humour, no clever banter, no point.

The narrators read well enough, but added little to the pacing and tone.
