GREAT for beginners
Levinson really is the godfather of Guerilla Marketing. His techniques are simple to understand and easy to follow in the 30 day time frame. They do not however become effective in that short period of time. Each step informs you about the techniques you need to begin with... however you have to remember that each step needs development, time and testing. If you have never set up nor run an effective marketing campaign but are seriously considering doing so then this book is certainly worth while. If on the other hand you have read other books by levinson on Guerrilla Marketing then this book will be merely review for you and will lack the details that you can get in his other books.
If you have read other marketing related material this is not for you but Levinsons "Guerrilla Marketing Weapons" is a must! It has everything you know about marketing and MORE! It's a marketing bible for Small and Medium business!

good but not what I was expecting
there are some good points in the book, but nothing that I haven't read in others. This book is ideal for people who haven't read much on marketing. its a great book but I find myself more critical of books the more I read.

A Mile Wide but an Inch Deep
This audio book basically gives a short review of numerous guerilla marketing concept - the idea is that you listen to one a day and build your knowledge over a 30 day period.
As with all books of this type, the discussion of any one idea is very limited. If you have absoutely no idea of the marketing and PR tactics you can use a small business owner, it's a good enough starting point.
If you are looking for some information on what marketing works vs what doesn't and some strategic insight into attracting new business, you will not find it here.
(i.e. one chapter talks about a real estate agent who was persistant with his advertising campaign and a result saw long term benefits to his business. That alone doesn't say much - advertising does not succeed solely through persistance, and the chapter completely ignored a possible discussion around why the advertising campaign ultimately succeeded, etc)
A light read for beginners. Nothing more.

Great start for anyone.
This book is a must for any new marketer. some dated material but it's still very pertinent.
