Absolutely inspiring!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Creativity: Discover How to Unlock Your Creative Genius and Release the Power Within?

I am a history fanatic, so I loved listening to what great inventors and creatives had to say about being creative.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I loved listening to this book in one sitting. I was able to get so much out of it. It's almost like sitting in a class lecture, except this was far more interesting than most lectures I've sat through!

Any additional comments?

The most valuable part of this audio book is the list of exercises for starting the creative process and keeping your creativity flowing. They're easy to implement and will come in very handy.

Unlocked My Creativity!

I've always been a creative person but wanted to get my juices flowing when I suffered with some writer's block. This was perfect!
There are so many sides to a creative mind that I had no idea about. I particularly loved the section that included exercises to unlock creativity. I didn't know these two parts of my life could link!!
After listening, I felt inspired again and could continue my work, producing some of the best ideas of my career! I'd definitely recommend!!

Everyone can be creative

I would definitely not consider myself to be a creative person due to my total lack of ability in all things arty however this guide helped me to see that creativity is much bigger than that and that we all have the ability to be creative in a number of different ways. This book helps you to see how you can identify and harness your creative skills and how that can lead you to success. I found it very interesting, thought provoking and inspiring.

What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Joshua Mackey brings very positive experience of active and creative listening. You can make a note and bullet point during his narration and reflex later on on most valuable tips. Very good voice, easy to follow and focus.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I have very positive experience from my childhood. McCloud remains me exercises that I loved to do as a child: you can modified certain figures in different shapes, solving simple mathematics task and logical puzzle. I like word association like end, shelf, read and try to make one word associate with them. The answer is – a book. I practice to write a six word story – I like it the most when I was a child. It is really funny exercises. “What if … scenario” is a good exercise for creative writers to imagine different possibilities. Back to your childhood and try to do again the most favorite activities. I love puzzles, crosswords, knitting.

Great habits offers by McCloud are focus on your own thoughts and believe in your idea. Watch films, search Internet, read book, stay educated, pay attention to detail.
Try to not be too perfect at the beginning. If you try to write new song, just write it straight, you can always come back and improve it later. Don’t be afraid of failure, be persistence, work towards your goals.
Try to read biography of great artist like Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Winston Churchill, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. You can get inspiration from their life. Read about invention of every day product, even simple like potato chips. Sometimes it is really funny story.

To be honest, I am not really the creative type of person and that is the main reason why I am here right now. I want to learn and I want to make some self-improvement. So far, I think that this audio book is brilliant! It is of great help and it has given me so much to learn, and trust me, it brings out the creativity in you!

This book has so much to offer. It helps you discover the physical and mental benefits of creativity, some exercises, the best habits, mental techniques, how to overcome limitations and so much more! It is really overwhelming and I am really happy!

It is a great bargain in my opinion. I have no regrets in buying it. I might even read it all over again just to remind myself that I can do what others can! Tthanks so much to the author of this book!

A study and a toolbox

This book not only provides a detailed overview of what creativity is and why it is important, it also provides tools to help you unlock your creativity.

At just over an hour long, it's a very easy listen for someone like me who yearns to be a creator of much yet appreciates conciseness!

"Creativity: Discover how to unlock your creative genius and release the power within" begins by explaining what creativity is, its benefits, as well as what may block creativity. For example, it discusses how having a non-creative job such as accounting may inhibit your creative side because you are neglecting that side of the brain. I found this very interesting.

And then it goes into thought patterns and behaviours that can stop one from being creative as well as strategies for overcoming them and allowing the creativity to flow.

I found this book genuinely helpful and it is one I will dip into again and again for a boost!

Get your creative juices flowing!

I found this audio-book really helpful in getting me back into a creative mindset. It was very interesting to learn about what can block creativity, as well as what encourages it. The audio includes exercises to boost creativity and I found them both inspiring and motivating, I also enjoyed listening about some great inventors and creators and what they had to say about being creative. Highly recommended!

Informative, Engaging, Enlightening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Creativity: Discover How to Unlock Your Creative Genius and Release the Power Within?

As someone who struggles with creativity I decided to download this book to see if it would help, and without question it did!
The best part for me was where it went through common items that kill creativity and how to avoid them. I could identify with some of the points made and found the advice very useful

Which scene did you most enjoy?

As previously mentioned the creative killers section was what really stood out to me, though also very interesting was the part that looked at creativity in other cultures in history.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I listened to it on the way into work.

I would recommend this for anyone really, either those who are naturally creative or those that struggle. The techniques described can help everyone.

An ordinary guide in an extraordinary way...

I like the narration. helps me read a book and at the same time do something else

although it is not a storybook, i like the fact that it was not what i thought it was when i bought it. I bought it thinking it was a fictional book

It neither made me laugh or cry but at most time i have to pause the book and relate. I would say it made me nostalgic
