Summary

Here is the "No Sweat, No Hunger" weight loss and healthy lifestyle guidance program that uses Cognitive-Behavioral Training to make it "stick". Empower Walk is designed to keep weight off for good.

"I am pleased that the Empower Walk organization has chosen to utilize our Healthy Eating food pyramid and nutritional guidance within their audio book publication. Having listened to the program I believe it also offers unique advantages not found in other weight loss programs by providing cognitive-behavioral training shown to be crucial to adopting lifestyle changes required for optimum weight and good health. I highly recommend it". Walter Willett

WALTER WILLETT, MD, Dr.PH is a professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition and Chairman of the Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Willett is THE most cited nutritionist internationally, and is among the five most cited persons in all fields of clinical science.

Critic reviews

"Excellent program that does what other weight loss and wellness programs fail to do - it integrates cognitive-behavioral training to provide the mindset modification techniques absolutely necessary for those looking to achieve and maintain their optimum weight and health. The program's unique mind-body strategy coupled with its easy-to-understand, easy-to-use approach might just be the answer to turning the country's out-of-control weight management problem around." (Clifford N. Lazarus, Ph.D, Co-Founder/Clinical Director of The Lazarus Institute)
"A program that is easy to follow, yet rich in the ability to improve mental as well as physical well-being." (Gary D. Pearle, Ph.D., Clinical Supervisor, Positive Directions Program, Verdugo Mental Health Clinic, Glendale, California)

Half good

The diet and nutrition information in Empower Walk is excruciatingly boring, not least because it is stuff that anyone alive in the world today will know inside out already from magazines, newspapers, Internet and TV. Nothing new.

The book is divided into two and a woman says the nutrition part and the man says the cognitive behavioural therapy parts. I haven't finished listening to it and have yet to form an opinion about the CBT and exercise elements of the book. Will definitely leave a full review after I've made my mind up.
