Review of raising girls.

A friend recommended this book. It gives more of an understanding of what girls are going through. I would recommend it to a Christian friend.

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

No

What was most disappointing about Melissa Trevathan and Sissy Goff ’s story?

I couldn't get past the first few chapters, I didn't get any insights into girls behaviour. I also didn't enjoy the constant reference to god and quotes from the bible.

What didn’t you like about Sandy Burr’s performance?

The baby voices she put on were irritating.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No

My eyes were opened!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you think your daughter is abnormal this book will help you understand why she may actually be normal.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Most teenage girls have a set pattern and phases of their lives. More times than not, if a young girl does NOT fit one of the typical phases, she is not the norm (and you are lucky!). This book helps one to understand that when your young girl does not want to talk to you, but will spend hours talking to her friends, or if the only person she cares about is herself, or one moment she is kind and compassionate and the next she does not want to be seen with you --- this book is for you. When you encounter these extreme mood swings or attitudes, you will know how to respond or to not to respond. As a dad to a teenage daughter, I wish I had read this book several years ago (like my wife suggested). It would have helped me ride out the challenging years of young girls.

Any additional comments?

If you have a young girl - this is a must read!
