A great starting, but you'll need more!
Would you try another book written by Paul McGee or narrated by Paul McGee?
I did. He know what he's talking about and is an amazing performer with great ideas. His books are necessary "first steps" and light enough not to overwhelm but you'll definitely need a deeper book on the topic when you're done.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I like it the way it was. It serves it purpose perfectly. It is the starting point.
Did Self Confidence inspire you to do anything?
Make changes in my life and dive deeper into the subject.
Any additional comments?
A fantastic starting point to those with confidence and self esteem issues, as well as those with feelings of self-doubt.

I feel more confident
There are some great insights into how confidence is affected by external influence, and how to introduce small changes to make big differences in confidence.
A great listen.

Well intended … but
A well intended audiobook, but virtually content free and therefore not useful. Very, very basic

Very basic.
The first half is self indulgent, and very focussed on the author, and his experiences.
No relatable content on how to improves ones self confidence.
The second half is a feeble attempt at offering some pointers on how to become more confident - but there are no real tools offered, just odd things like plastic surgery for the mind, which is as basic as repeating Positive Self-Affirmations daily.
Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Good Book - Takes things back to basics
This is a good book for those struggling with their confidence or with public speaking. There are some good tools however it was a little basic for me.

nice listen
nice short listen, good examples and passionate narrator/author.
I would like more "scientific" evidence instead of examples from his life.

One of the best books I've read
I absolutely loved listening to Paul unfolding self confidence. Paul has grabbed my undivided attention from beginning to end in a really insightful way. Sometimes we think we're confident but the truth is that any setbacks, new challenges and pursuit of our dreams, can knocks us down when we less expected.
I also loved all the actionable "pitstop" in it. It makes me self reflect and see my true potential.
Thank you. Sofia Reis

Self-Indulgent:
I purchased this as I've seen Paul McGee present to a live audience. He is funny, and relatable and is able to put his ideas across in a motivational way. So why did I find this book so irritating?
The first problem is that while Paul is relatable in real life and in 30-minute doses, 5 hours of him narrating his work becomes hard work.
The second problem is that the book starts well, but then becomes very self-indulgent. It has more 'pit stops' than Silverstone has seen in 20 years! The personal anecdotes are OK in small doses, but this isn't an autobiography, and at times I felt I knew more about Paul than was really necessary. The other problem is that the actual content is a bit thin on the ground. There is lots of good stuff and useful advice in the book, but it is packaged in a way that at times makes it sound like trite platitudes. There are no case studies of how what Paul preaches works other than some stories about his mates, and no evidence presented to back up some of his ideas (although there is plenty out there).
So if you really want to know why small change can make a big difference, read James Clear's 'Atomic Habits instead.

Bit like watching Black & White TV
I just didn't get on with the content, seemed too thin, too directional rather than considering how an individual could consider and improve their self-esteem. In a way the mistake was the title of the book as self confidence is the end game and there are steps to take you from lacking confidence, not a small change.
