As things become more and more expensive and various operations are seemingly becoming more interdependent, many seek to be self-sufficient in some way and not be plugged into the grid. It is something that can be carried out quite easily and effectively once one has the necessary tools on hand to get the job done. One great tool to have on hand is Self Sufficiency: Getting Back To Basics. It can teach the listener how they can become self-sufficient with certain practices. For instance instead of going to the market every week for fresh fruits and vegetables, it can be grown at home. If the space permits, small animals like chickens can be reared as well. Another thing that can be modified is finances. Many persons make the mistake daily of things that they should and should not do and end up getting deeper into debt. The author gives those viable solutions to self-sufficiency. It is up to the listener to use it.

A good introduction with useful tips.
It is a very good and interesting introduction into what being self-sufficient really means.
The timing of the release of this audiobook is perfect, since, wherever you live in the world, more and more people are looking to become self-sufficient. But, what is self-sufficiency, and how easy is it to achieve?I must say that this book is not for the experienced, more an introduction into the lifestyle and what can be achieved. Starting at the basics, it considers what exactly it means to become self-sufficient and then gives useful and thought provoking advice on how to achieve various aspects of it.Whether you have been considering helping to conserve the planets resources, save money, live a healthier lifestyle, grow your own vegetables, keep animals or make your own soap and detergents, the answers to your questions can be found here.I have some experience in this field living on a smallholding and being self-sufficient and the fact that the author has had practical experience in living this lifestyle is evident as you listen to this book. There is a wealth of knowledge within as he discusses this lifestyle, how to live frugally, and re-use items. However, what I found very good about this book is that it discusses some of the subjects not normally covered in self-sufficiency books, such as how to recover your finances and how to be self-sufficient in degrees.
A very interesting audiobook which offers a solid advice for anyone thinking of taking up this fantastic way of life and becoming self-sufficient.
