Summary
An empowering audiobook about standing your ground in dating, in marriage, in your career, and anywhere else.
As an author and a coach who has been helping women for more than a decade, I noticed some women were in trouble, and not just in their relationships. Some had unfulfilling jobs, didn't get paid what they were worth, had always dreamt of starting their own business but never did, felt lonely even though they had a husband and kids.... The list goes on and on. So many women try to be the perfect girlfriends, wives, mothers, friends, sisters, colleagues, business owners, bosses, and more. They love to serve and want to succeed in the many roles they have to play. They are compliant, even to the people who don't really deserve that kind of treatment. They give it all they have, every single day.
Regardless of their tremendous efforts, some women get little in return. They feel used. They get men that keep flaking out, careers that don't feel meaningful, and possibly a body that starts to feel and look more and more tired. Did you ever notice that burnout tends to afflict women much more often than men? There's a reason for that, as you'll learn.
This should stop.
Some women seem to have found a loophole, a backdoor in the current system. There are women out there who have designed the life they live. I call these women high-value women. This value has nothing to do with money. It turns out the high-value woman follows a set of strategies and principles. I'll share them with you throughout this audiobook.

Handy insights
I have listened to this a few times. It’s a good mix of research, anecdotes and practical tips. It’s an easy listen with some good tips to help in all areas of a woman’s life… not just relationships. That’s why I got a lot from it.
I believe it’s pitched towards heterosexual women and heterosexual couples mainly. It also is good for those like myself who identify as typically female and heterosexual.
Good sprinklings of humour too.

Wonderful book to assist all women
Great book that gives insight into women's own power within themselves and utilising this energy to live their best life. Easy knowledge to apply and also use of great examples.
I loved this book and could relate to the complex issues women experience. It has certainly opened my eyes and look forward to achieving my goals and dreams.
I would recommend this book to all.

mediocre, outdated pop psychology - avoid at all costs
Brian Nox's "She Comes First" presents itself as a guide to relationships, but unfortunately, it falls short in addressing concerns related to sexism and stereotypical gender roles. The author's viewpoint on homosexual relationships perpetuates outdated stereotypes, suggesting that one partner must assume a feminine role while the other takes on a masculine one. This approach undermines the diverse and dynamic nature of same-sex partnerships.
Furthermore, Nox's characterization of women as "masked ice cold" individuals is not only patronizing but also reinforces harmful stereotypes. The narrative twist where the inexperienced protagonist magically unveils the warmth beneath a seemingly aloof woman's exterior is not only cliché but also perpetuates a problematic and unrealistic view of relationships. This storyline can be perceived as both predictable and nauseating, reinforcing outdated notions about women needing a man to reveal their true selves.
In a world that strives for inclusivity and respect, "She Comes First" misses the mark by perpetuating harmful gender stereotypes and presenting a narrative that fails to reflect the complexity and individuality of relationships

Ew. Really.
Ugh. I should’ve stopped when I heard “value”. I got in 1 hour and the nausea was too strong, I had to stop because of the cringe level.

So empowering
After reading another of Brian’s books I decided to try this one, I thought it couldn’t have been more informative than the last but I was wrong. I will be recommending it to everyone, it’s eye opening and he gives scientific facts to back up his theories. Loved it!

Review
I have honestly enjoyed reading this book even in my older age. It has reminded me of years of being a pushover and what it has cost me, finally have solutions.
