Whether you are busy dealing with a demanding job, raising kids, or coping with illness, simply finding the time to get organized can be a challenge. The 8-Minute Organizer to the rescue!
Regina Leeds shows how anyone can organize their home with just a few minutes each day. She has tailored her magic formula (eliminate, categorize, organize) so that readers can work in short, effective increments and complete small projects that add up to big progress. The book includes hundreds of systems and tricks - from rapid closet rehab to tackling junk drawers, clutter-busting a room to setting up a mail system. Leeds also offers quick but important daily routines (making the bed), periodic tasks (checking the smoke detector), and fun projects (creating a dream board) to keep up the momentum.

Extremely Helpful

Would you consider the audio edition of The 8 Minute Organizer to be better than the print version?

The audio version is definitely better. The whole problem of dealing with clutter stems from us finding time to prioritize and work through the mess. People battling with clutter don't have time to read the print version.. they can listen instead to the audio version while working through one of the many 8 minute projects discussed in the book. Also hearing the author is very motivating - she's been there and tackled clutter many times... so it lends authenticity and credibility to the audio

Who was your favorite character and why?

There are no "characters" this is a self help book. She does relate some anecdotal stories -- but there are no traditional fiction characters

What about Regina Leeds’s performance did you like?

She reads and shares here own learning and principles with passion. You can hear the belief in her voice- you can do it too !!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and No. She is inspiring and the time flies as you hear the book but , there is much to work through and digest - so it is better to do it in more than one sitting.

Any additional comments?

A very essential part of every persons library. Listen to it at least once a year !! A good listen/read !

The virtue of 8 minutes

No doubt the author has really good ideas for organizing one space. I especially appreciate the detail offered to explain organizing tips. While the author does not in anyway imply that any zone can be completely organized in eight minutes, The series of eight minutes required to accomplish many of these organizing tasks could amount to days.

Good to listen to for beginners

If you have no knowledge in organizing, this is a good book to start with. Otherwise you may find it too basic. To me the content is a little dated too.
