Summary

All children misbehave for a variety of reasons, sometimes simply to test how far they can go or to get the attention they crave. Other children are more difficult to parent than others because they are impulsive, hyperactive, inattentive, or delayed in some aspect of their development. This invaluable handbook provides parents with guidelines to help prevent behavior problems from occurring; and also with strategies to promote children's social, emotional, and academic competence.
This is a parenting guide for parents of children ages two- to eight years old, written by the Incredible Years series developer Dr. Carolyn Webster-Stratton.

Really annoying music destroys concentration

I downloaded this on recommendation from a friend who works with children as I have been struggling as a working dad to have happy experiences with my 18 month old daughter. play time no matter how short is so valuable and I really need some help. this book is brilliant so far in its message but it's completely ruined and I'm sorry but that is simply my humble opinion. why do they play silly tunes in between statements. it's every two minutes and completely destroys my concentration. I feel really inconvenienced and would hope that I can be presented with a boom without this silly music in should anyone from the company read this review.

What were they thinking with that music?

All the information in this book is very helpful, but the music is literally torture. Like, I could easily imagine it being used in some CIA black site to coerce a confession. How did such a terrible decision to play that song after every section make it so far? And why on top of the awful melody did the composer add a heavy, unimaginative, lethargic, depressed and disconnected base beat? Was it supposed to make it more dancy? What were they thinking?! It's clear that there was some conflict in the making of the audiobook since they wisely switch halfway through the book to a more modest and appropriate piano chime between sections. I still hear that horrendous tune dangling in my mind like a dingleberry clinging a poodle's rear end.
