Publisher's Summary

"You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want." This statement defining a philosophy of success, wealth and happiness is perhaps the most famous quote of legendary speaker, author, and businessman Zig Ziglar. Yet the monumental legacy of this incredible man can hardly be summarized by a single quote or idea. For Zig Ziglar was truly a giant in the field of personal development.
"The Master of Motivation", Zig Ziglar has been described as "one of America's icons", "the salesman's salesman", and "a legacy that will forever impact our history". Helping people to achieve long-term balanced success based on his philosophy of character, attitude, and skills, he has impacted more than a quarter billion people and continues to make a difference in the lives of those who act on his philosophy.
In these audio volumes, you'll hear Zig onstage in front of a live audience as well as offstage in several intimate studio recordings. You'll hear Zig at his most energetic in the very early days of his career, and you'll hear him at his most reflective and thoughtful in recordings just a few years before his passing. But regardless of when and where Zig delivered his message, one thing remained constant: The unforgettable and timeless truths that Zig spoke changed the lives of millions of people. And I have no doubt that after listening to this series, your life will be changed for the better as well.
The first volume in our series is titled The Foundational Qualities for Success. Any great achievement - be it a beautiful building, a winning sports team, or a successful life - must start with a solid foundation. Yet in our society, which is increasingly focused on "quick fix" answers and "fast track" careers, few people have the patience to build a proper foundation, and even fewer people have the skills to convince others to do so. That's just one additional way that Zig Ziglar was unique. He never skipped over the importance of building a foundation for success. In fact you could say that Zig was the greatest persuader there ever was in convincing others to make foundational qualities for success a priority.

Repetitive and scary

There were lots of times when you'd be listening to a speech and think 'hang on, I heard this an hour ago or yesterday', so there was a lot of repetitions, which is down to bad editing.
Not sure about the zig ziglar singers, that was excruciating. Lots of thinks to take from it, but what is worrying is that you are made to feel if you don't believe in god or have a faith then you will not achieve any greatness or happiness in your life. This is quite dangerous rhetoric but then again bible bashers know no other way. I respect people for what they believe in and I expect the same in return but I think mr ziglar would not entertain anybody with a different take on things. People without a faith or belief in God ARE GOOD HONEST AND DECENT WITH INTEGRITY AND COMPASSION FOR OTHERS, so if you do listen to it then be prepared. Ps, if you like listening to rock music, then that has to go, apparently its lyrical influence is corrupting us all. Damn, I really did like the Beatles, but if I wanna be happy and successful.....

A bit disappointed

What disappointed you about The Ultimate Zig Ziglar Library?

The ultimate library seemed to be a lot of the same stuff cobbled together; in some cases even repeating exactly the same stories. Could have been condensed into half the amount of time.

What was most disappointing about Zig Ziglar’s story?

A lot of it was a bit outdated and a in parts Zig did overly preach.

Would you be willing to try another one of Zig Ziglar’s performances?

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, there was, like any personal development books, some worthwhile takeaways, but unfortunately too few and far between for a 14 hour audio book.

Any additional comments?

Unlike the great and timeless Jim Rhon, Zig-Ziglar did feel a bit dated. Some old stories and archaic jokes were ok, but at times he did seem like a preaching old granddad. "The two worst things in life...Rock Music and Pornography. Apparently there is hidden subliminal 'bad' messaging in Rock music! and it goes against god, so keep your kids away.

There were a few good bits, but got a little too repetitive and preachy towards the end. Not something for keeps. I persevered with the 14 hours, but I wont listen again.
