To everyone else in town, Zack is just an ex-con. All he wants is to be an MMA fighter, and good girl Mia is the only one who knows he's going to be a daddy.
I f - ked up. I lost a year of my life and my MMA career to prison, and I earned every day of that sentence. But I did it for a woman. To protect her and our unborn child. And then I found out it was all a lie. When I got out, I vowed I'd never make the same mistake again. Until I met Mia. I told myself no distractions. No complications. I was dedicating my life to training. To fighting. So why do I find myself wanting to fight for her?

Hooked, well I sure was ;)
this is a great fun Bad boy romance, a light listen/read with colourful characters and delightful description and dialogue. The narrato, has a delicious voice with an enormous character range, from a squeaky little girl to rough and gruff deep voices. Most impressive. his reading of the text between conversation was forceful, A good story and some awesome MMA that played out like a movie in your mind .Overall it was an impressive performance and it enhanced the enjoyment of the reading experience. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. As always this is my honest opinion .

Better Than Expected!
For a story under four hours, Hooked was well written, had a good pace and a captivating plot. Perfect for those who want a complete short story. This is the typical boy saves girl, they talk, go out, date, fall in love, but with a surprising twist I haven't seen in any other story. Zack's made bad choices and ended up spending a year in prison. He's out now and just wants to get his life back on track and not have any distractions. When he see's a women being attacked by two men in an alley, he steps in and stops them. They end up going out and she offers to let him train for a fight at the gym she manages. They're attracted, have good chemistry and everything is looking good until Zack feels betrayed by Mia. Overall, for a short story, this was decent. I would love to see it extended because the twist does bring some angst between the characters.
Logan McAllister did a really good job on the narration. I was able to easily distinguish between the characters.
My review is based on reviewing this from a short story perspective and agree with the other positive reviews, this story is a two thumbs up! I was voluntarily provided this free review audiobook copy by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Interesting story about 2 people that don't seem to make good decisions. And, yet, people you might know that you wonder why do they make one mistake after another and not learn? Yet, the story was engaging. I liked Zack. Mia, I didn't quite understand. And, watching the play between the characters was interesting.
