Summary
Two women lose the man they love. All they have left is each other.
Sophie's life is turned upside down when her partner, Ian, dies in a tragic accident. The only one who can understand her devastation is Ian's stepmother, Dolores. Together, they try to make sense of their loss and rebuild their shattered lives. While their shared grief brings them closer, it also takes their relationship in an unexpected direction. Where does sorrow end and romance begin? Or has Ian's death blurred the lines too much?
If you love deeply emotional lesbian romance with a twinge of controversy, don't miss this intense but hopeful novel by chart-topper Harper Bliss.

Interesting
I thought I wouldn't like this due to the whole 'grieving over the man they loved' premise, but it surprised me. In a good way! pretty darn sexy too. Harper Bliss is such a thoughtful writer, empathetically creating atypical stories that pull in the heart-strings. And this is up there as one of her best. Narrator is exceptionally good, look forward to hearing her dulcet tones again 😍

Loved it.
I love this book. A taboo subject that is so well written and the narration is excellent.

Very enjoyable!
Whilst the reality of the story is something that I can't imagine happening, I very much enjoyed this book.
Very different from the authors French Kissing series which was brilliant but very well written in its own right. For me it caused the reaction I wanted.

super whiney
didn't like it at all the story could have been wrapped up in 15 mins. it just goes round and round with the main character whining herself through the book. the voice artist didn't help either with a really whiney voice.

This is an amazing piece!
Binge listening in a day. The narrator is so on point. This is the first book of Ms Bliss I've ever read...i'm sure there'll be more to come.

Totally enjoyed it!
This is a very good and well-written book. I was a bit sceptical in the beginning, but it was worth every moment of reading it. Maybe some things were too fast and too soon to my liking, but I am not the one to judge it in any form or shape. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Probably my favourite book by Harper Bliss so far. Great job by Charlotte as a narrator.

Engaging well-written unconventional lesfic.
I loved reading this when it was first published and was interested to see how it would work with the audition of studio. Charlotte North's narration was excellent and not only has audio enhanced the story but the narration just elevated it to another level. This unconventional relationship may not be everyone's cup of tea but unconventional relationships happen all over the world and Harper's writing offers plausible insight as to why and how Sophie and Dolores become romantically engaged.

Wanted my money back, don't waste yours
Badly written - Show me, don't tell me is the most important rule of fiction writing after correct grammar, which Harper Bliss struggles with. The repetitive writing here lacks believeability and has no charm at all. The audiobook verges on soft porn at times, which Audible should not market as romance. Wanted my money back but couldn't get it... Don't waste yours. Only finished this for that reason, otherwise would have given up half way. Charlotte North, the narrator, reads with a dirge-like, monotonous tone and practically no difference in character's voices which frequently makes it very confusing.
