Great way to learn a new language.

I really enjoyed this short read. I've taken Italian for a long time but never had the opportunity to practice it on a consistent basis. As a result, I was neither a beginner or a professional at speaking or having a good knowledge of the Italian culture so it was difficult to take classes. This was a perfect brush up. I learned new words, phrases, correct conjugation and also the availability of questions is a great way to test the level of understanding of every use. I also appreciate the repetition of words so as it repeats I can understand it's usage and the definition of why it's using it and thanks to that I could memories and get the new words in my head.
I really recommend this book for Italian language learners as it is an excellent way to improve your listening skills in a more relaxed and fun way.

Every beginner should try this

I really enjoyed listening these short stories. As I am just a beginner in Italian, I didn't find it hard to understand them. Maybe they speak quite fast but after few listenings you can clearly understand. It has helped me a lot with understanding and pronunciation. The great thing is that the second half of stories has also some vocabulary with English translation. I definitely recommend this for each Italian beginner.

Great

Very well done audiobook for learning Italian with a neutral pronunciation.
It is very easy to follow, with a clever repetition of words throughout the story in order to memorise it.

The readings are at different pace so everyone can follow depending on their listening skill.

It covers all the basic concepts and more, giving a wide overview of the most used words and sentences with a nice narrative touch, so it doesn’t become boring.

At the end there are also individual sentences with their translation, all available to follow on the pdf document.

Great introduction for Italian learners

The clear and concise diction in the short stories make following what the narrators understandable for Italian beginner-intermediate learners and if your vocabulary is somewhat limited the word translation audio chapters are a very valuable learning tool. I was able to speed up my learning with this audiobook. Definitely recommended.

A valubale learning opportunity.

A very useful resource for practicing listening skills in Italian. The addition of chapters dedicated to the review of specific vocabulary found in the story is extremely important as it makes the book a concrete opportunity for learning. Furthermore, the availability of questions is a great way to test the level of understanding of every user. In terms of content the narrative is catchy and pleasant to listen.

Great tool

I found this product description very informative on what it offered. I gave it a go as I love learning languages. This product promised to be easy to follow and portable for travelling. Italian has always been spoken with such passion from people around me.

The resource is confusing to use at the beginning but I got the method as the book went on. However, I find the fact they offer you an e-mail contact point is a great effort of going the extra mile.

Overall, I feel it was a very productive and helpful tool. I would recommend it to anyone that’s wants to get an insight into the Italian language. I also love they are all children’s stories making it an easier range of vocabulary.

The only improvement I would suggest is it is tough to follow where you left off with the resource. The platform saves your progress on the audio but not the script resource. So I would advise to print it to mark it to follow easier.

Great for improving conversational skills

This book was a great find for me as I’m almost intermediate with Italian but my conversational and vocabulary skills are lacking a bit. The stories in the book helped a lot with that, teaching me new words and phrases that I can easily apply to real life conversations. I really enjoyed the audio cards that slow down the pace of the dialogue and give you a chance to deepen your understanding of the language.

Very useful book

Italian Short Stories for Begginers is a very useful and easy to follow book for people who need to expand their initial knowledge of Italian, or as in my case to get back to a nearly forgotten language. Very much appreciate the second part of the book with the translation as it helped with words I had forgotten. However, even before that part it was very easy to follow and engaging.

A real confidence builder!

I downloaded the audio and pdf and couldn't wait to get started. Having tried several apps. and felt like I was progressing very slowly, this method really helped me build confidence quickly. First I read, then I listened, then I read again.....and felt pretty good about it! The vocabulary following each paragraph helps you to keep the "flow" going, and therefore reinforces the feeling that you are actually reading. As an adult learner, I think this is very important. After three chapters I can safely say that my enthusiasm is not waning. I feel that I am building my vocabulary and my confidence quickly, and that I will soon have the courage to speak Italian (other than to myself and my dog!). So happy I found this approach to language learning - it works for me!

Improving your Italian listening skills

Where does Italian Short Stories for Beginners rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

For those wanting to improve their listening skills in Italian this is highly recommended. For beginners, listening while reading the text provided in the PDF is advised. The PDF contains the story together with translations of all the new vocabulary that is used. There is also a little multiple choice test at the end of each chapter which helps test your understanding. One of the diffulties in learning a new language is understanding native speakers. This is ideal in helping to become acquainted with the way real Italians speak. It also gives you the opportunity to expand your vocabulary and improve pronunciation. The topics of the stories are well chosen. They vary from applying for jobs to describing strange dreams.

What did you like best about this story?

As stated above, the topics of the stories are well chosen. They are preferable to children's stories that are very basic and do not stretch your vocabulary. My favourite story was about the strange dream.

Have you listened to any of Eddie Pez and Jessica Muraca ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to any other of these audiobooks and so I cannot compare.
