Summary

Six more episodes of BBC Radio 4's multiaward-winning sketch show, written by and starring John Finnemore.

John Finnemore, writer and star of Cabin Pressure and John Finnemore's Double Acts, returns for a seventh series of his hugely acclaimed Souvenir Programme, which won him Radio Broadcaster of the Year at the 2016 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.

Expect sketches! Expect songs! They're what made up the previous series, so it seems a pretty safe bet that that's what will be in this series as well.

Well... since you asked me for a review...

Well... since I was looking for a comedy sketch show, this proved to the perfect option. A brilliantly witty and well thought out series. I highly recommend!

Utterly Hilarious

Where does he get his genius inspirations! Sketch 1- Freud phones his mum to ask what she thinks about his new book. Always such a sense of playfulness and fun. Clever, clever stuff and the whole team is great.

Very funny "traditional" comic writer & comedian

John Finnemore is a National Treasure of radio comedy. He obviously loves the great English ( and American) intelligent comic tradition. 'Hancocks' Half Hour', - 'Sergeant Bilko' - Peter Sellers - Alan Ayckbourn - Flanders & Swann - Tom Lehrer - Pete & Dud - 'Cheers' & 'Frasier' - John Cleese and Co.. But Finnemore contributes his own distinctive brand of humour, doesn't he?.

A comic surprise

Heard JF on another book I was listening to; My Teenage Diary, (another, entertaining listen), I looked him up and discovered this .... a fabulously funny find! Reminds me a little of the two ronnies crossed with monty python. Refreshing, original, uplifting, silly and just laugh-out-loud, good fun. Going to work my way through all his other audibles.

No matter how rubbish your day has been, you can't fail to smile with a bit of Finnemore & co.

Fine Finnemore!

I love this programme like I love Wodehouse: lots of foolishness, little or no evil. This comparison has obvious limitations, of a kind I would enjoy hearing one of these characters expatiate upon.

Sketch comedy at its finest

Finnemore provides some of the finest sketches and comedy songs of his time, supported by an excellent cast. If it’s a story you’re after.....
