Summary

Now as famous on radio and audio as they are in print, the adventures of that irrepressible and ageless schoolboy William Brown have been delighting both young and old for decades. Perpetually scruffy, mud-stained, and mischievous, he is a lovable scamp whose pranks usually end in disaster, for his harassed elders at least. With friends Ginger, Douglas, and Henry (The Outlaws), and the angelic, lisping, thorn-in-his-side Violet Elizabeth Bott, William has rightly joined the literary, and radio, immortals.

This volume of Just William features the following stories:

  • William Goes To The Pictures
  • William The Intruder
  • William Below Stairs
  • The Fall Of The Idol
  • The Show
  • A Question Of Grammar
  • William Joins The Band Of Hope
  • The Outlaws
  • William And White Satin
  • William’s New Year’s Day
  • The Best Laid Plans
  • Jumble

    Entertaining for young and old

Would you listen to Just William again? Why?

The Just William stories are a treat. I used to look forward to the Radio 4 broadcasts during the Christmas holidays and was so pleased to find the Martin Jarvis recordings had been released via Audible. They're just as good as I remember them being and Martin Jarvis really is the voice of William as far as I'm concerned.

Love Martin Jarvis as Just William

Lovely unabridged collection of the first Stories …. Always humorous and wholesome to put on in front of family …..
Richmal is a very clever writer … I only started to listen to them when I was 30 yrs old but they appeal to all age groups
I put them on where . Ironing or doing a tedious job always sure to make work more enjoyable 👏😁
