Summary

A heart-warming novel about Kaspar the Savoy cat, from the award-winning author of Born to Run and The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips

Kaspar the cat first came to the Savoy Hotel in a basket - Johnny Trott knows, because he was the one who carried him in. Johnny was a bell-boy, you see, and he carried all of Countess Kandinsky's things to her room.

But Johnny didn't expect to end up with Kaspar on his hands forever, and nor did he count on making friends with Lizziebeth, a spirited American heiress. Pretty soon, events are set in motion that will take Johnny - and Kaspar - all around the world, surviving theft, shipwreck and rooftop rescues along the way. Because everything changes with a cat like Kaspar around. After all, he's Prince Kaspar Kandinsky, Prince of Cats, a Muscovite, a Londoner and a New Yorker, and as far as anyone knows, the only cat to survive the sinking of the Titanic…

Enjoyable!

Read this book with my class and we all enjoyed the story-surely 30 children can't be wrong. Great book to encourage reluctant readers and to inspire amazing pieces of writing.

Kaspar Prince of Cats

I love this book. Has been one of my favourites all my life. Lovely story as usual by Michael Morpurgo. And in this instance it was told extremely well. Would always recommend this book, whatever your age. Is especially good when you are not feeling too well and want something to snooze along to.
10/10!

Michael Morpurgo is such an awesome author.

I've now read several of Morpurgo's books. He is such a wonderful story teller. His story's just as lovely for adults aswell as for children. Listened to this book in one sitting. Superbly narrated by Paul Cgequer.

Wonderful

My granddaughters 10 and 7 years old, listened enthralled through the whole story on a long car journey. This book really caught their imaginations.
