One massive audio file and copyright control
If you could sum up Learn in Your Car in three words, what would they be?
Good course but this comes in one massive file-stupidity
Any additional comments?
While I like the content the file comes in one massive track only so you get a 3 hour course in one track, utter stupidity for learning. It also comes with copyright control which meant i had to spend a few hours playing it into my audio editor manually and then breaking the tracks down in to separate tracks so i could simply play them on other devices like my MP3 player and so I could also learn track by track
I bought LIYC level 2 from Amazon which has individual tracks and no copyright control but NO pdf file..go figure
So..onto the content..for me I like it. I am a little bit above beginner so to have these audio files is for me a great way to build up my vocab. In a nutshell, there is an English voice followed by a Japanese voice and that's it. If you are a total beginner then this course may not be for you as there is no lesson plan per se however if you want to increase your vocab then I do like this.

Not for learning from scratch
The Learn In Your Car series consists of spoken words and phrases that you hear and repeat twice. If you have already taken lessons it is very good for vocabulary building, but I don't think it is at all useful for learning from scratch. You could play the lessons forever and not get a sense of the structure of the language. If you really want to learn how to speak Japanese from scratch in your car you need the Pimsleur system.
I'd rate this title 1 star for learning from scratch but 5 stars for learning vocabulary... so I'll compromise and give it a 3.

I?ve tried four audio programs and five different books. In my estimation, this program is the worst of the lot. It consists of the repetition of random vocabulary words. Besides being very boring, the exercises were essentially useless. You?re even likely to pick some erroneous information: Sometimes the English word is given once, but in Japanese you?re unknowingly presented with two different variants of the translation, as if it were one answer. Try repeating that back to your Japanese friends?very embarrassing!
By far the best program I?ve found is the Pimsleur series. It?s challenging, interesting, and for the first time I?m really making progress. Thanks to Pimsleur, I?ve not only gained an understanding of Japanese sentence structure in a short time, but I?ve actually picked up useful words and phrases to use with my Japanese co-workers.
