Very effective way to start a new language.

Any additional comments?

I have now finished the 90-lesson course. If taken properly (on consecutive days), this is an exceptional way to enter the spoken language. You are forced to respond - quickly - to prompts and questions, and the structured way of repeating new words and phrases at calculated intervals was very effective for me. The down side is that you get very little grammatical insight, and not too much by way of the written language. I have tried other courses of Brasillian Portuguese, including 10 2-hour classroom sessions and another book+CD combination, and none left any lasting memory, nor could I speak a sentence of my own. This course, with all the repetitions, pushed me to the next level; I can now speak , understand (a bit), and look back at material from other courses.

Highly recommended!
