Summary

A booty call. A stuck elevator. A chance to move on.
Three years after her ex-boyfriend left her to pursue his Hollywood dream, Riley Eames' life is still on hold, hindered by questions only he can answer.
So when he asks to meet her for a booty call while he's in town, she reluctantly agrees, only to get stuck in the hotel elevator with charming British actor, Ashe Hunter, who's in town to promote his latest movie.
But even as sparks fly between them, a celebrity romance may not be enough to get Riley's life moving again, not when the answers to the questions she's been seeking are finally revealed - and letting go just might be the last thing she can ever do.

Review

This is much more than the romance I thought it was when I started listening to it early in the morning when I could not sleep. It is a very complex and riveting story that has a really complex plot. I ended up listening to it in its entirety and was not disappointed. It revolves a lot around family and those are the parts I found most intense and soul searching. I had my own very strong views and I felt myself screaming them out in my head when I did not like what I was hearing. I think the author is brilliant, she starts off pulling us into thinking this is a straight forward romance with a heartbroken girl. Gradually we are drip fed a story of manipulation and lies and heartbreak. This is a cracker of a story, absolutely marvellous.

The pull....

This was a great book. The emotional pull in the book was draining yet captivating. The character depth was fabulous. I felt for each of them, I loved them, i hated them, and then loved them again. It was a back and forth pull of my heartstrings. The painful love triangle - of the old love versus the new. It was great~

Narration and production was awesome! Great quality Audio.

Fantastic narration!

This is my first book, albeit an audio book, by Liz Durano and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it! The writing flowed so perfectly! Riley is fantastic! She’s a perfect heroine! She meets up with an ex who left her to become famous when she gets stuck in an elevator with another actor… she just can’t get away from these men! Here we have Ashe… oh so sweet and swoony Ashe! He just oozes this British charm that American men cannot replicate! I loved the various subplots and was totally on Riley’s side! She needs some self confidence. She needs to believe in herself!

Tracy Marks was the narrator and she did a superb job of coming off shy, yet lacking a bit of confidence. I was laughing at some of the antics and the fun banter between characters. I’m always so intrigued when one narrator can pull off a variation of characters and voices. Mark’s voices worked in all the characters! I loved the narration!
