An old favourite enhanced by good reading.
Christian Rodska does a splendid job performing Evelyn Waugh's trilogy, with "Brideshead Revisited" his best books by far. CR sounds quite different from his Falco persona! (Was desperately missed from that series.)He gives a wide range of voices and accents, even in French, although Italian pronunciation off once or twice.
The humour and absurdity of Guy's wartime experiences offset Waugh's intrinsic snobbery and fogeyism, and Guy in any case is more sympathetic than his creator was alleged to be - Waugh, not the Almighty!)

Wonderful performance of a wonderful book
If you could sum up Men at Arms in three words, what would they be?
Class, loyalty, misunderstandings.
Have you listened to any of Christian Rodska’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No, but I remember him from radio & T.V. He sounded completely authentic with all the many & varied accents without losing any of the drama or meaning. Really impressive!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I wanted to perpetuate it.
Any additional comments?
