I used to think all fast food chains were the same process, but this book proved me wrong. I recommend this book for ages 12 and above.
This is a fabulous book!. It is not a handbook on business plans used by In-N-Out or what it takes to run a successful business according to In-N-Out principals, but a biography about the chain itself. Although primarily focused on In-N-Out it covers the past 80 years of the fast food industry. It is earmarked by pop-culture events along the way, from the post-war era of the late 40's early 50's to the fast pace of the late 90's internet boom. It's a nostalgic look on what America was and could be. The book is filled with hope and tragedy and keeps the reader interested with every turn of the page. For those of you who love this chain, I highly recommend reading it. Or you can listen to it like I did through Audible! ;)

What did you love best about In-N-Out Burger?
This is a lovely story about what makes a great burger restaurant. I loved the sense of family and the way they stuck together though 3 generations of burgers.
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the way the family kept returning to their roots in Baldwin Park
Any additional comments?
I recommend this read for anyone who has had enough of McDonald's and wants to bring the goodness back to their burgers.
