Summary

You trusted your best friend.... You shouldn't have.

Vicky Seagrave is blessed: three beautiful children, a successful, doting husband, great friends and a job she loves. She should be perfectly happy.

When she makes a split-second decision that risks everything she holds dear, there's only person she trusts enough to turn to.

But Vicky is about to learn that one mistake is all it takes - that if you're careless with those you love, you don't deserve to keep them....

Enjoyable, well written

An easy listen, written well and with a few twists. Definitely kept me interested.
The one thing that annoyed me a little was the readers attempt at male voices - extremely irritating!

Good read

Took a little while to get into the story, lots of skipping to different people and times but after a few chapters it fell into a steady flow.

Liked the narrator although the childrens voices are a little annoying but I find that a common theme so maybe it is just me. Only huge bug bare for me was the first aid Vicky gave her husband was basic knowledge but made a huge mistake!

Over all I recommend this book and will read another by this author.

Not too bad

Story was really getting on my nerves for about 6 hours and I was about to knock it off and return it, but then it started to get interesting.

The plot was all a bit coincidental but was ok.

Great Listen

I was a little confused in the first few chapters but that changed to intrigue. After that I could not stop listening, I had to know how it would work out. Really enjoyed this book.

Hooked

Really enjoyed this book. It drew you in and moved at just the right pace. Sinister without being crash. A great psychological thriller that raises some good moral points. Most importantly, I was hooked.

Great holiday listening!

Gripping story with lots of twists and turns, I felt the impending inevitability of the ending creeping upon me. Really great characterisations and portrayal of middle class family life when inequality and envy take hold.

Good story but frustrating

It was frustrating that she did not tell Tom the truth from the beginning but the story carried you along and was enjoyable as a light listen .
The narrator did not do the men's voices well I felt but otherwise was good
