Another gem from Lucy Dillon

The first book I listened to from Lucy Dillon was A Hundred Pieces of me and I loved the way some of the characters from that book made cameo appearances in this one. Especially Buzz and Gina.
Well written, beautifully performed and with characters you actually care about.

A very attractive story!

I'm happy I chose to listen to it! It starts slowly but gets you involved quickly because you want to find out what happened. It did feel a bit boring at moments because there is a lot of talk about the renovation works but then you realize it wouldn't work any other way. It is a great story with some crazy twists! can't believe it's over! In a way I wish there was a second book!

Good read

A grown-up chick lit book with a strong baseline story. Good audio narration too. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Interesting and enjoyable story

Interesting and enjoyable read. The plot was not always believable, but very engaging, The narrator was easy to listen to, and did not distract from the book. I loved reading about the antics of the hotels resident dog. The characters were nicely described, and easy to identify with, although the end was probably predictable, it was such a nice listen I found myself getting quite wrapped up in it, and felt a little bereft when it was finished.

I have previously read a Hundred pieces of me and found this book much more engaging and enjoyable.

Kindness at its best

I am not normally a romantic fiction reader but I really enjoyed this book. I found I couldn't wait to go back to it. Great listening, very good story well narrated. The underlying message of how kindness of people and animals can make a huge difference to our lives.

The first few chapters dragged, till the story unfolded. Some likeable characters, good narrator.
