Summary
Nell is 26 and has never been to Paris. She's never even been on a romantic weekend away before. Travelling abroad isn't really her thing. But when Nell's boyfriend fails to show up, she has the chance to prove to everyone, including herself, that she can be independent and intrepid. Alone in Paris, Nell finds a version of herself she never knew existed. In this collection of 11 unmissable short stories, Jojo Moyes introduces us to a cast of strong, relatable women in the midst of their everyday lives.

The narrator is the most annoying I've ever heard
Would you try another book written by Jojo Moyes or narrated by the narrators?
I would have loved this book if I'd read it but the narrator, with her baby voices trying to be cute and the way she pronounced 'says' drove me MAD – I couldn't even finish it as found the terrible voices so annoying I wasn't concentrating on what she was saying. Such a shame, and such a waste of my money :(

Big disappointment, Jojo
Have loved most, or at least many, of her books, especially The 1+1, Me after You and its sequel. Impression here is that she had to churn something out to meet a deadline and chucked a few short stories together. In most cases (especially the title tale), you could write the ending by the end of the first few paras; and it has the most annoying narrator of all time. Pretty sure the honeymoon tale is a revamp of something of hers which I've read before. Guess we all have our moments.

Good collection of stories
Good variation of characters and stories - however the first story had a very irritating narrator - once past her though, the rest was good.

Excellent stories
Excellent stories, thoroughly enjoyed listening to them. It was interesting listening to one of the stories which is the beginning of a relationship from another book. Loved it

A fairly enjoyable read
I don’t want to start on a negative so I’m going to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of short stories. They were fun, fast paced and showed the varying stages in peoples relationships. Some were not quite to my taste but I still recommend this book. However, this audiobook version left me a little confused.
I really don’t know what happened with the first, main, story of this book Paris For One. It missed out chunks of dialogue and this left some endings of speech very abrupt. I had to go back and read the physical book to fill myself in. It also misses out a ‘six months later’ section which was definitely beneficial to the story.
It states that it is a ‘whole story audio’ and states nowhere that it is an abridged version. This audio is not word for word as written which was quite disappointing.
This is unlikely to be the fault of Jojo Moyes so I will continue to read the rest of her books.

I really enjoyed this
I don’t normally read short stories as I prefer a full length story but I enjoyed these. Really nice selection though some of them I would have liked to have been a little longer.
