Let me just say, this whole part-time lover thing was her idea. I'd have gone all-in from the start, but hey, when a gorgeous, brilliant woman invites you into her bed, and only her bed...well, I said yes. But then, one hysterical phone call from my brother later, begging me to find myself a wife so grandfather's business stays in the family, and I need a promotion with Elise. Turns out a full-time husband suits her needs too, and a temporary marriage of convenience ought to do the trick, until we can simply untie the knot...as long as no one finds out...as long as no one gets hurt...as long as no one falls in love....But our ending was one I never saw coming.

The narrators were the icing on the delicious cake
Having met Christian & Elise in Wanderlust, I fell in love with them, and was delighted when I knew they were getting their own story. This is a complete standalone, and although if you haven't read Wanderlust, do.. it is just beautiful and romantic and sexy too!
The boat tour in Copenhagen is the first 'meeting', and I love a boat tour, a cheeky captain and a gorgeous view. Who doesn't?
Luckily, missed opportunities are no match for fate and chance and this duo were destined to meet again, this time in Paris courtesy of Griffin & Joy. And Joy delivers. Humour, banter, flirting and charm by the bucket load. They have had their pasts, so there are moments, but having just listened to some of my favourite ever Shane East narrating, I can certainly say, that the tears I cried were of laughter and not sadness.
Grace is a favourite narrator of mine, and this put Shane right up there to the top of my fave British male narrator to listen to. He nailed it! I loved his portrayal of Christian.

4.5 Mermaid Stars
You may remember meeting (or seeing) Christian in ALL his glory, doing naked handstands if you read Wanderlust, in fact, you have already met Elise (She was Joy's friend) however you do not need to have read it to be able to enjoy this one.
Lauren Blakely is the epitome of a Rom Com queen, she writes funny, sweet and sexy so brilliantly, there is always a little angst but nothing to make you roll your eyes at, and there is always...ALWAYS a great story to take you away.
This was no exception...
Elise and Christian nearly have a meet cute when she visits a friend in Copenhagen, but that falls through, even though she does manage to get herself some tasty handstand snaps to ogle at.
They eventually meet in Paris a year later and by a weird series of coincidences, they embark on a crazy deal to help out Christian's younger brother.
The fact that this was a second chance romance is also why i loved it so much, Lauren's characters are always a little older and wiser, so you don't seem to get the college angst kind of vibes from them.
🎧🎧With the usual funny banter and brilliant one-liners this falls into another "Must Listen" audio book
Grace Grant and Shane east were perfect voices for these characters, they gelled together brilliantly and some of the sexy accents made me sit listening with a goofy smile on my face.
Save a credit for this one guys, you won't be disappointed!

A SWEET ENJOYABLE CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
If you’re in the mood for a low-angst, drama-lite, sweet contemporary romance about love creeping up on a couple who’d sworn to keep it casual, promised not to let their hearts join their booty calls and wholeheartedly agreed to end their three month fake marriage after the threat to the hero’s company had been dealt with.. then this is the book for you.
Yes it was predictable.. but sometimes that’s not a bad thing - and with this mighty threesome of Lauren Blakely, Shane East and Grace Grant you know what you’re getting and you know your emotions (and heart) are in safe hands because together they’ve created an audiobook that was enjoyable, entertaining, not too sexy, charming, easy on the ears and leaves you with a smile on your face.
Worth a credit? There was no angsty chapters, no drama-high daren’t breathe moments and no shocking twists to send you reeling... just a good light dual POV Contemporary love story about Fate and the lengths she’ll go to to bring two successful busy people, who’d both been burned before, together. I liked it.. I was in the mood for it.. and YES I think it’s creditworthy.

Part-time Lover is a keeper.
It began with a fantasy that ultimately changes the course of their destiny. Hot guy, intrigued girl and a hauntingly tempting visual began a bumpy road of twists and turns for two strangers. Part- Time Lover can make a believer out of even the most skeptic of romantics. From the beautiful backdrop to the witty dialogue and the heartwarming romance, Part-time Lover is a keeper.
