A warm & delightful mystery story
What made the experience of listening to Picture Miss Seeton the most enjoyable?
The narrator had the right tone of voice for the characters. It was beautifully narrated. The story was a quintessential English mystery story in the ilk of Miss Marple. The interaction of the characters was written with humour.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Picture Miss Seeton?
I think the opening was quite memorable, it draws you in so that you want to hear what mystery lies behind the murder. You are trying to picture the opera she has just left, when the story takes hold with Miss Seeton witnessing a murder.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
No one scene jumped out, but I loved the fast paced conversations held between Miss Seeton & the other characters.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It certainly made me laugh.
Any additional comments?
I would suggest curling up on the sofa with a pot of tea, a tin of biscuits or a large piece of cake & settling down to listen to this delightful audiobook.

HISS for the Villain!
I initially reviewed the ebook in April:
This is book was every iota as delightful as I remembered from its original publication (yes, I'm old enough to have read it then). A light farce, proper attention is paid to police procedure and following the clues but the real joy is in watching the characters introduce and endear themselves to you. Well, except for the villains. You should HISS at the villains.
And now you have the opportunity to LISTEN as well. The rich, plummy tones of narrator Phyllida Nash's crisp British diction (not being an expert I cannot say whether Oxford or Cambridge influence her drawl) bring to life the well-drawn [picture--get it?] personalities of Miss Seeton, The Oracle, Bob Ranger and a slew of others with distinct vocal characteristics for each. The story remains the classic that it is and cannot but bring delight to any reader or listener. Many thanks to the publisher and all involved in bring this story to AUDIO!

This is a great book; this is the first book in the Miss Seeton Mystery series written by Heron Carvic and narrated by Phyllida Nash. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
