Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada - philosopher, scholar, religious leader, author - founded the Hare Krishna movement in 1966, effectively transplanting India's spiritual culture of bhakti yoga from India to America. In his seventies and with almost superhuman drive, Prabhupada took his Hare Krishna movement and its iconic chant around the world and then back to India, establishing centers and ashrams wherever he went and writing over sixty books.
Drawing on Prabhupada's own words and on numerous interviews with those who knew him both in India and the West, Prabhupada emerges as a vital and earnest ambassador of spiritual India whose teachings continue to influence spiritual culture today.

Wonderful insights into the life of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Loved the book but the narration could have been delivered with more expression. Thank you

Historical tale of Srila Prabhpada's mission
This is the tale of how Srila Prabhupada in his 70's left India and moved to New York .Started preaching and founded the international society of Krsna Consciousness making a unbelievable impresion on western society ,and drawing to his mission a generation of faithful disciple's .The story is told Satsvarupa Dasa Goswami a witness of the times and who has drawn from his Godbrothers and God sisters personal experiences to create this thrilling story .Amazing to think that in this age such a massive movement could come about .Still expanding and added to by other swamis to make the tree that now grows in our World .

Transcendental
This is a wonderful telling of Srila Prabhupada’s blessed life and journey. Full of bliss, knowledge and eternal in its meaning. A must read.

Wonderful story but poor narration
The book is wonderful to read, and I was looking forward to having the audio version of this but the quality of the narration is so poor, it’s impossible to listen to this book

Disappointing
Swami Prabhupadaji was an enlightened master. He elevated dropouts when he founded Iskcon and founded a world-changing Organisation, giving faith, hope and solace to hundreds of millions of followers.
This book doesn't glorify His Grace nor does it tell the whole truthful story.
