Strong voice, Weak words

Keeble is outstanding as always, but he has little to work with here. The story doesn't look at Ferrus Manus much and swaps between lots of characters quite quickly making it easy to lose track.

Generally a good story

I think the story itself is good - I am not a huge fan of Keeble and the way he does robotic voices, where he sounds like he's choking, so that was not very apparent here. I think in general Keeble did a good job in distinguishing the voices in a story, that shifts characters a LOT.

The story itself makes some degree of sense, but it's incredibly easy to lose track of what's going on, as it shifts so much between viewpoints during the story.

Overall though I was hoping for a bit more of a show from the Iron Hands and their capability, but alas there wasn't too much of it in this story.

Superb narration, weak story

The narration is great, but ultimately, this is the weakest primarch novel in the series. It provides little backstory about Ferrus Manus, choosing to focus more on other characters. while it is a fun story, it isn't what I paid for.

the flesh isn't weak

think this is a great book. none of the primarch books are just about the primarch and they duck in and out of the story just like this one. really gives us a show about what and who the tenth are. it's loads of fun.

Nice performance but...

It's called Ferrus Manus part of the collection of the primarcs but the supposed main character take 1/5 of the book, and barely mentioned in the rest of the book... they should called the book The Iron Hands...

wasted opportunity

should have been a good opportunity to give us a meritable side to ferus. instead it makes me dislike him more and not feel bad that we didn't see more of him. his character and arrogance are unfounded and very dislikable. his son's have no moments of merit and the best character in the book is the emperor's children. tbh we could have done without this story

Boring and badly written

I am halfway through currently and do not want to hear the last 3 hours. The characters are so indestinct that I can barely tell the difference between them, the writing is bland and I can't imagine any way this book would end that would make me care. Only upside is the narrator, who is excellent as always

a bit difficult to follow at times

narration great, story a bit confusing was there thunder warriors in this ? or did the adeptus astartes kill all the thunder warriors or what ?

Trash book.

Half way through it if we're being honest, but this is the worst book I've read in the ENTIRE HH series so far, and I've only ignored a few cashgrab novellas now and have read almost all of them. Let that sink in - I've got that kind of patience and I still hate this book enough to condemn it halfway through. I even liked Furious Abyss! This garbage ignores the one element we wanted to read the book for but we're lied about. There is NO Ferrus Manus in this. He's a cardboard cutout to lure people into paying for a book that painfully drones on and on about 40k jet fighters which noone could possibly love. If you think you DO love 40 jets stay tf away from me because you're broken and a threat. Throwaway characters and miserably tedius endless descriptions of wings and cockpits, fuel lines and pointless, unemgaging aerial maneuvers. Let the galaxy burn, and let it start with this fracking book.
