Summary

Absolutely fabulous rendition of a great novel

Fabrizio Gifuni gives one of the best reading I have ever listened to and I have listened to many. His rendition of the many regional Italian accents (Roman, Neapolitan ,Veneto, etc) are just miraculous . I have loved the book and read it many years ago, so I tried the spoken version and was surprised how much Mr Gifuni adds to the written pages. What a performance! Its brilliance does justice to a tremendously intelligent and entertaining novel which is a true classic of modern Italian literature.
