Summary

What does our Catholic faith teach us about eating well? Some of us eat too much food. Or we eat too little. Often, we eat without gratitude, without charity, without respect. But, as award-winning author and food-blogger Emily Stimpson Chapman explains in The Catholic Table, with a sacramental worldview, the supernatural gift of God's grace can transform and heal us through the food we make, eat, and share.

Engaging listen

The subject matter of this book covers a wide range. From theology of the body to overcoming eating disorders to understanding the role of food in Catholic faith and practice. It is also very engagingly written (spoken?) with plenty of humour and insight. The real highlight, however, is the narration, which I found passionate and personable. It is a wonderful listen. I don't usually write reviews but this audiobook deserves more than a perfunctory star rating.
