When A. W. Tozer was a young preacher newly ordained into the ministry, he wrote a prayer that he published 30 years later under the title "The Prayer of a Minor Prophet." Fifty years after his death, Dr. Tozer's prophetic writings and sermons continue to deliver God's Word to His people. The test of a prophet is that his message transcends generations; even when he is gone, a prophet's message remains fresh and vital.
In Voice of a Prophet, a never-before-published collection of writings, Dr. Tozer examines the lives and ministries of such biblical prophets as Elijah, Elisha and John the Baptist. A prophet is uniquely called by God; he never volunteers for the job, but his prophetic role in ministry for today's Church is an utter necessity.

Clarifying brilliance
Powerful, palate-cleansing truth that cuts through the cloying saccharin Christianese our times have grown accustomed to. I am inspired to apply the principles explored here, and live a life abandoned to God’s will, allowing Him to live and speak through me. This is an astonishing work of personal sacrifice, and divine grace. Praise God for Brother A W Tozer.

The writer shines a light on the reality of taking up our cross. We are so blessed to be called to take up our cross. There are lots of notes to take, areas to break down and work on with the focus on God. Thank you for your work

The depth of this book is necessary for every person hungry for God!
The last chapter...the prayer was the perfect cap to this book! it was just what was needed to cap such a deep and convicting book.

PROFOUND!
A.W.Tozer was a man so passionately driven to reveal the heart of Christ and draw all men into intimate fellowship with Him. Throughout Tozer's writings there is no truth more clearly echoed than the importance of knowing God experientially and living in humility and obedience before Him. This book is no exception. The Voice of a Prophet gets straight to the heart of what it means to be 'called of God' whether prophetically or otherwise. Tozer deals with the issues of 'character, submission, humility, faith, courage, obedience and an unrelenting desire to know God. 'The Voice of a Prophet' takes you through the scriptures to examine the lives of those called by God out of obscurity, to a life filled with challenge all for the glory of the One that called.
This book was like a mirror to the soul that revealed some of the fundamental issues and blessings in my own life, bringing clarity, conviction and confirmation whilst driving me to my knees before a holy God. Thank you so much Tozer and Synder,
