Summary

Two years ago, Sara's husband left for the gym one morning...and never came back. His car was found. He wasn't. Unbelievably, the police report said, "no foul play suspected." There were a few sightings over the following months, but little else.

Now, on the last day before summer break, her three children have gone missing from their schools, all at the same time.

And the note under her windshield wiper asks one foreboding question: Are you ready to play the game?

How far will a mother go for her children?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes I enjoyed this book. It made boring motorway driving much more interesting.

Any additional comments?

This was an enjoyable book, which starts with a normal single mum of 2. Her husband has previously vanished years earlier and she has given up hope of finding him.
She has a great job as an executive working for a computer games company and while she is at work, her children are kidnapped.
The kidnappers made certain demands of her to play a 'game' and this book follows the story of what she goes through to try to get her children back. She stops at nothing to get them back and finds an inner strength she did not know that she had. She finds out what happened to her husband in the process.
It is a book which was heart breaking in places, as I am a mother myself. I could feel her pain. It is true, that given the option, you would put yourself in danger at the prospect of finding your children.
