Publisher's Summary

Witch Central welcomes everyone. Or does it?
Twenty months ago, Jamie and Lauren crashed a coven meeting in Chicago - a visit they barely remember. For Beth Landler, it was the moment that fractured her circle and awakened her need for an entirely different kind of magic. The kind only found in Witch Central. If she can dig up the courage to go.

<>A Different Witch is book five of the top-rated A Modern Witch series. Light contemporary fantasy with a good dose of humor, a little romance, and characters you won't want to leave.

Different also from the others.

If you could sum up A Different Witch in three words, what would they be?

To sum up A Different Witch in three words they would be Nell's personality transplant. This is because Nell was not herself in this book and I wanted to give her a slap. She was very self centred not her usual self. Gave the book some dissonance.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Different Witch?

The magic in the circle done by the baby girl. But this also showed Nell's failings.

What about Martha Harmon Pardee’s performance did you like?

I love the bright and laughing voice.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh, cry and be very annoyed at Nell.

Great story hampered by strange performance style

I've now listened to the first 5 books and while I love the storyline, which keeps me coming back again, the narration throughout the series is very odd.
I don't know if it has been edited badly or what the issue is, but it has a very computerised and stilted feel. I had it playing on my car sound system when a friend got into my car. By the time I turned it off, my friend thought that it was being read by a computer programme and it does have that feel. It's a shame because the series is really fun.
